Dear Valued Clients,
During these rapidly changing times we are more committed than ever to doing everything possible to meet your needs.
Over the past few weeks, we have experienced a surge in the quantity of food orders and medication renewals. While this is not unexpected given all the uncertainty in the world right now, our suppliers have had trouble meeting the increased demand. This is due in part to the increase in volume of orders but also a due to enhanced safety practices established by our distributors, our compounding pharmacies as well as in our hospital. These factors are resulting in a longer than usual turnaround time for filling your requests.
As a way of trying to ensure that everyone in our community has access to what they need, the distribution companies have started an allocation system which limits the amount of food and medication available for order. The allocation system is based on our historical order quantities so, in theory, we should still be provided with our needs but we will not be able to order in excess of what we normally order. This system is operating as well as can be expected in these early stages but it is leading to increased wait times (sometimes upwards of 5-7 days) for some of our orders.
In order for this system to work as well as it can we encourage you to order responsibly – request only what you need, when you need it. Now more than ever, let’s take care of each other as we take care of ourselves. We remain committed to you and will keep you updated over the coming days.
