At Davisville Park Animal Hospital, clear communication and thorough medical records are an important part of your pet’s care. To help our team accurately document medical information discussed during your visit, exam room conversations may be audio recorded.
Purpose of recording
These recordings help ensure key details—such as medical history, recommendations, and care instructions—are correctly captured. They also allow our veterinary team to review information as needed, supporting consistent care when more than one team member is involved.
Use of recordings
Audio recordings are used exclusively to support your pet’s medical record. They are not shared with third parties, used for promotional purposes, or accessed by anyone outside of the care team involved in your pet’s treatment.
Security and retention
Recordings are handled as confidential medical information and stored securely with limited access. They are kept only as long as required under veterinary medical record guidelines and are permanently deleted when no longer needed.
Your preferences
Your comfort and privacy are important to us. If you do not wish for exam room conversations to be recorded, please inform our front desk team prior to your appointment. Your preference will be respected, and your pet’s care will not be affected in any way.
